authority is a position you hold and compound. year one looks like content. year three looks like gravity.
how it works: common questions.
What is the VODPOD Authority System?
Three connected systems that turn an expert's knowledge into a durable public position. The Authority Engine captures the expertise: professionally produced podcast and video sessions, in our San Antonio studio or on location, designed so a single conversation yields an entire content ecosystem. The Content Multiplier turns that source media into dozens of platform-native assets — long-form video, clips, articles, newsletters, social posts and audio. Authority OS is the workflow, calendar, distribution and reporting layer that keeps it all shipping on a schedule you can sustain. Each system works alone; together they compound.
How much of my time does this take?
One recording session a month, typically 45 to 60 minutes, plus a review pass on the produced assets that takes about an hour. That is the realistic budget: two to three hours a month. Everything else — session planning, production, editing, writing, scheduling, distribution and reporting — is handled by the system. The design principle is that the expert does the one thing only they can do, which is talk about what they know, and nothing else.
What does one recording become?
From a single 45-minute conversation we typically produce a pillar article structured for search, a long-form video chaptered by question, a podcast episode, eight to twelve captioned vertical clips, four supporting articles on the sub-questions, a newsletter issue, a run of LinkedIn and social posts and a set of quote graphics. Thirty to a hundred-plus assets depending on the depth of the session and the platforms in scope. Every asset is the same expertise in the format a different member of your audience prefers, and every one is reviewed by you before it publishes.
What is the HEARD method?
The five-step editorial method behind the Authority Engine. Hunt the signal: find the two or three sharp positions only you will say, because vague content cannot build authority. Engineer the capture: build the room, format and questions so one conversation yields a whole ecosystem by design. Amplify through multiplication: shape one recording for every platform without losing the spine. Route to the right rooms: distribution is choosing whose feed you appear in, not posting and hoping. Defend the ground you take: authority is a position you hold and compound — year one looks like content, year three looks like gravity.
How is this different from a content agency or a podcast producer?
A podcast producer delivers an episode. A content agency delivers posts written in an approximation of your voice. The Authority System delivers your own words, captured once and produced into every format, distributed and reported on as a system rather than a series of deliverables. The difference shows up in three places: the content sounds like you because it is you; the volume is sustainable because your time cost is fixed; and the results compound because distribution and consistency are built in rather than left to whoever remembers to post.
